    Fiona Oluyinka Onasanya is a British politician and former practising solicitor, who was elected as the Labour Member of Parliament for Peterborough in 2017. On 19 December 2018, after a re-trial, Onasanya was found guilty of perverting the course of justice for lying to police to avoid a speeding fine. Her expulsion from the Labour Party, effective in December 2018, was announced in January 2019. On 29 January 2019, she was jailed for three months. She has announced her intention to appeal.
